Just a quick blog before I get on with my days work, the
snows gone.
Well it been with us for almost a month and the novelty had
certainly gone and was killing trade, all hotels in the Lake District have
had their occupancy hit hard with the snow as people were unable to get to the Lake
District.
Well I got up this morning and I can see no trace of snow or
ice and it is around +5 (taken from my car that I do not completely trust), I
can only hope this is the end to Cumbria’s run of recent weather and the Lake
District can get back to businesses as usual.
Never thought I would be happy to the see the back of snow.
As I mentioned in my first blog I am deccaited to working towards having the greenest hotel in the Lake Disrict, just a quick blog talk abot our Green Charter.

Well I have thought about doing this for years, so here I go.
I thought as my first blog I would give hint of my intentions for my blog. I am now in my early 30s and have lived in the area my whole life (well apart from a few years) and love the Lake District and I want to share with you my experiences.
I want to talk about green issues and what I am doing to reduce Underwood’s carbon footprint.
News from in and around the Lake District, with an insider’s view of life living and working in the Lake District, highs and the lows.
What it is like to run a Lake District Hotel, you’ll be surprised.
I’m also hoping to get some of my team to blog from time to time, I’m not going to force them to blog, so we will just have to see how that goes.
I also intend to tell you a little bit about some of the brilliant people and companies around the Lake District that make it such a unique place to live and work.
